About me

I’m a Canadian soprano and performer with a background in singing, acting, directing, and performance training. Through my own training and performance experience, I became interested in how practical acting techniques can help musicians feel more confident, present, and connected on stage.

From 2018 to 2022, I worked with young performers in Edmonton, directing youth musical theatre productions, providing musical theatre performance coaching, and leading workshops. These experiences directed my interest to helping performers develop their own artistic voices and find practical ways to approach the challenges of performing.

During my Master’s in Classical Voice at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, I continued to build on this work by researching how acting techniques can be applied directly to musical performance. I honed my own approach to acting for musicians, focusing on action, intention, connection, and practical exercises that performers can use in their own practice.

I now work with singers and musicians who want to get out of their heads, make stronger artistic choices, and feel more comfortable communicating on stage. My approach is not about telling you exactly what to do or how you should perform. Instead, I aim to give you practical tools you can return to throughout your life as a performer, helping you trust your own instincts, explore what makes your work unique, and develop a deeper connection with both your audience and yourself.

You can read more about the foundations of my approach in my master’s research at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, The Active Score.
